History: a very young breed

Around the 1960s, there was an increasing demand in the United States for small loving dog breeds. Important when breeding new breeds is that there are few medical complications and that the breed is preferably hypoallergenic. The result is, among others, the Maltipoo.

The character: a loyal companion

The Maltipoo is a dog with an enormously loving character, which was an important goal for the breeders. It should therefore come as no surprise that this breed of dog gets along extremely well with people, dogs and other animals. They also get along well with small children, making them almost suitable for any family. If you choose to keep a Maltipoo as a pet, it is worth bearing in mind that your Maltipoo will do everything in its power to get your attention. Not at all annoying of course!
