Nevertheless, these dogs are very muscular and can get a shoulder height between 62 centimeters (females) and 65 centimeters (males) and can weigh between 40 kilograms and 60 kilograms.

Due to their long coat, their eyes are not always very visible because the coat hangs in front of their eyes. The eyes are usually dark in color and their fur is often white in color. Their long coat continues through their long tail, which is often carried downward. They have a long muzzle and drooping ears. 

 

The care of the coat 

Since the South Russian Ovcharka has a long coat, it is important to maintain the coat well. But what is the best way to do that? Grooming your dog is always important. It is important to pay a lot of attention to the coat. It is probably good to know that grooming the coat is not a difficult job. The best way to take care of the coat is to brush it at least once a week.
